The Approach:

The approach to working with special needs clients is one of reimbursement. For example, to reward positive behaviors, or an instance where a good choice was made, reinforcers will be provided. Reinforcers can take many forms, such as play with a preferred toy, certain food items, and physical praise. The aim is to teach the individual which behaviors result in the desired goal.
In concert with parents and teachers, Accentra Behavioral will create a set of strategies to be attempted. These strategies will be taught to all relevant individuals, and the results are recorded over a period of time. As behaviors change, strategies are modified or changed all together to maintain positive development.

FAQ:

What is Applied Behavior Analysis?
Applied Behavior Analysis is a study of the functions of particular behaviors.

Who Can Benefit From ABA?
Children with Autism, Aspergers, ad other behavioral disorders that have otherwise not been responsive to traditional treatment.

How Does ABA Work?
